This material is obtained by grinding whole nut of Myrobalan Tree. This is hydrolysable type material having tannin content max. 45 %

ATTRIBUTES

1. This is pyrogallol OR Hydrolysable type tannin material.
2. MMP has high acidity and low salt.
3. Contains min. iron.
4. MMP does not oxidized when exposed to sunlight.
5. It improves colour fastness of leather.
6. MMP bears strong bleaching properties.

TANNING PROPERTIES

1. Being Hydrolysable type & slow penetration power it can not be used as self tanning material.
2. It is blended with catechol tannins, it imparts light colour, fullness, plumpness & firmness of leather.
3. MMP promotes fixation of catechol tannins giving mellowing effect.
4. It is used for final stage of tanning OR For retanning to improve light fastness.
5. It is used for retannage of wet blue, Cow, buffalo, Ship & Goat Skins. Particularly shrunk grain upper leather.
6. MMP blended with other syntans as it protect from oxidation & promotes fixation of catechol tannins.
7. In making sole leather MMP can be blended with Mimosa.
